How to use the Crop PDF tool
- Click "Choose PDF file" or drag the PDF you want to crop onto the screen.
- The bright rectangle on the page is the area to keep. Drag the corner circles to resize it and the middle to move it. With a keyboard, use the arrow keys. Use the ‹ › buttons to change pages.
- Choose "This page" or "All pages" and click "Crop PDF". Click "Reset" to start over.
- When it is done, click "Download".
Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Files are processed only inside your browser and are never sent to any server. Only the code and character mapping data needed for processing are downloaded from this site; your files themselves never leave your device. You can check this yourself in the Network tab of your browser's developer tools.
Are my files safe even with ads on the page?
Yes. Ads only run outside the tool area. The tool area, where you choose and process files, is an isolated space your browser keeps separate, so other scripts on the page, including ads, cannot read your file content or file names. Nothing inside the tool area can be sent out. When you drag a file onto the page, the tool area expands to fill the screen so the isolated space receives the file.
Are the cropped-out parts deleted?
No. Cropping a PDF only shrinks the visible area of the page, so the cropped-out content stays in the file. Other programs can show it again, so do not use this to remove personal information.
Will the quality drop?
No. The page is not redrawn; only its visible area changes, so text and images stay exactly as they were.
Can I crop each page differently?
Crop one page with "This page", then open the downloaded PDF and crop another page. "All pages" keeps the same relative area on every page.
