Open a PDF right in your browser and flip through its pages, without uploading it.

Your files never leave this device. Everything is processed inside your browser and nothing is uploaded to a server.

How to use the View PDF tool

  1. Click "Choose PDF files" or drag PDF files onto the page. You can open several files at once.
  2. Once a file opens, scroll down to flip through the pages. You can also use the ‹ › buttons at the top to move one page at a time.
  3. Use − / + to zoom out and in. Click "Fit width" to fit the page to the screen width again.
  4. If you opened several files, pick the one to view from the list on the left (the drop-down at the top on phones). Use "Add files" to open more, or × to remove one from the list.

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. Files are processed only inside your browser and are never sent to any server. Only the code and character mapping data needed for processing are downloaded from this site; your files themselves never leave your device. You can check this yourself in the Network tab of your browser's developer tools.

Are my files safe even with ads on the page?

Yes. Ads only run outside the tool area. The tool area, where you choose and process files, is an isolated space your browser keeps separate, so other scripts on the page, including ads, cannot read your file content or file names. Nothing inside the tool area can be sent out. When you drag a file onto the page, the tool area expands to fill the screen so the isolated space receives the file.

Do I need to install anything or sign up?

No. All you need is a modern browser such as Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox, on a computer or a phone.

Can I view several PDFs at once?

Yes. Choose or drop several files and they are added to a list. Click a file in the list to switch to it. For a password-protected PDF, you only enter the password once, even if you switch to another file and come back.

Can I open password-protected PDFs?

Yes. A password box appears when you open the file. The password is only used on this device and is never stored or sent anywhere.

Will Korean, Chinese or Japanese text display correctly?

Yes, in most cases. Character mapping data for East Asian scripts is included, so most PDFs display correctly. If a PDF does not include its fonts, a similar font may be used instead.

Can I open large PDFs?

Yes. Only the pages on screen are drawn, so documents with hundreds of pages open fine. The whole file is loaded into your device's memory, though, so very large files may be slow on phones with little memory.

Can I edit or merge PDFs here?

This tool is for viewing only. Use Merge PDF to combine several PDFs into one, Split PDF to split one PDF into several files, Rotate PDF to fix page orientation, and Organize PDF to reorder or delete pages.
